How to block someone on TikTok

Go to their profile, tap the Share button at the top, tap Block, then Block again to confirm. They aren’t notified. Once you block someone, neither of you can see the other’s posts, find the other’s profile in search or send each other direct messages.

Block someone

  1. In the TikTok app, go to the person’s profile.
  2. Tap the Share button at the top.
  3. Tap Block at the bottom, then tap Block again to confirm.

Block several people from your comments

  1. Go to one of your posts and tap the Comments button.
  2. Press and hold a comment, then select Manage multiple comments, or tap the Filters button at the top.
  3. Select the comments from the accounts you want to block, then tap More at the bottom.
  4. Tap Block accounts, then Block to confirm.

What a block changes

  • Neither of you can view the other’s posts, find the other’s profile in search or exchange direct messages.
  • Any connection you had is removed.
  • You may still see each other in multi-host LIVEs, in Duets other people post and in group chats you share.
  • They aren’t notified.

Unblock someone

  1. Go to the person’s profile.
  2. Tap the Share button at the top.
  3. Tap Unblock at the bottom to confirm.

Everyone you’ve blocked is listed in your settings.
