How to repost on TikTok

Tap the Share button on the video, then Repost, or press and hold the video and tap Repost. It shows up in your friends’ and community’s For You feed, labelled as a repost with your profile photo and nickname, and on the repost tab of your profile. To undo it, tap Share, then Delete repost.

Repost a video

  1. In the TikTok app, go to the video you’d like to repost.
  2. Tap the Share button, then tap Repost. Or press and hold the video, then tap Repost.

The repost happens as soon as you tap. If a friend reposted the video, you can also tap their profile photo at the bottom, then Repost.

Who sees your reposts

  • On a public account, your reposts, their text and the replies to them show on your profile to anyone, and anyone who can see a repost can reply to it. Your comment privacy settings don’t apply to repost replies.
  • On a private account, only your followers see your reposts, on your profile and in their For You feed.

Remove a repost

  1. Go to the video you reposted.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Delete repost. Or press and hold the video, then tap Remove repost.

Removing a repost also deletes every reply to it. To delete one reply instead, tap your profile photo at the bottom of the video, press and hold the reply, then tap Delete.

How do you undo a repost on TikTok?
