Competitor ad research
Ask what a competitor is advertising, and Oneirosea’s research agent reads Meta’s, Google’s, LinkedIn’s and TikTok’s public ad libraries for you. You get a teardown of their messaging, offers, hooks and calls to action, what they appear to be testing, and what to test yourself, with every ad linked to its source.
What a teardown covers
- A summary: how many ads, on which platforms, the main positioning and the strongest repeated offer.
- Messaging angles, each with the ads that show it: pain points, personas, offers, proof, objections handled, comparisons and urgency.
- A swipe file of hooks and headlines, and the offers and calls to action on each platform.
- Notes on video ads, from their transcripts: the hook and the best line.
- What the competitor appears to be testing, and the tests worth running yourself.
- Every ad listed with its link, so any claim can be checked.
The libraries it reads
| Library | What the agent can do there |
|---|---|
| Meta Ad Library | Search every advertiser’s ads by keyword, list one brand’s ads, open an ad in full with each carousel card and text variant, and read a video ad’s transcript. |
| Google Ads Transparency Center | Find an advertiser by name, list its ads, and open one. |
| LinkedIn Ad Library | Search by keyword or company, and open an ad with its targeting and impressions by country. |
| TikTok Commercial Content Library | Search by advertiser or keyword. |
What it will not claim
An active ad is one someone is paying for, not proof that it works, so the agent calls an ad active or repeated, never winning. It reports spend, reach or targeting only where a library publishes them, and invents none.
How it runs
- Name a competitor or a category, for example: what is Notion running on LinkedIn?
- The agent finds the advertiser in each library, reads its active ads, and opens the representative ones and their transcripts.
- The teardown comes back in the conversation, every ad linked to its source.
- Take an angle further: make your own version with Oneirosea’s image and video models, approving each before it runs.
What it costs
Creating an account is free, and there are no free credits. Most ad library reads cost half a credit each, and a few Google requests cost more. The agent’s own work is billed in credits at what the model provider charges.
Common questions
Is this an ad spy tool?
It does what people use ad spy tools for: it shows what competitors are running. It reads the platforms’ own public ad libraries at the moment you ask, so what it finds is current, and it explains the patterns rather than only listing ads.
Is it a Facebook Ad Library alternative?
It reads Meta’s Ad Library itself, along with Google’s, LinkedIn’s and TikTok’s, so one question searches four libraries. Every ad it cites links back to its library entry.
Can it find winning ads?
It finds the ads competitors keep running and repeating, the strongest public signal there is. It will not call an ad a winner, because performance is not public.
Can it show a competitor’s ad spend?
Only where a library publishes it, such as Meta’s spend figures for ads about social issues, elections or politics. The agent does not estimate spend a library does not show.
Is it free?
Creating an account is free. Reading the ad libraries and the agent’s work use credits, and there are no free credits.
